Diesel purge will clean out all the build up in your fuel systemA diesel purge is a simple process, and will help keep your Diesel Benz running smooth. Once you’re finished, the fuel system will be cleaned out, and you'll notice the car idling smoother, and faster acceleration. Some people like to use automatic transmission fluid to clean out the fuel system. It's because automatic transmission fluid has a large amount of detergent in it. A mechanic once told me that every time I change the spin on filter of my Diesel Benz to first fill it with automatic transmission fluid. I had to do a purge on my diesel benz when I was blending vegetable oil, with petroleum diesel in my car. I was doing a blend in the summer with no conversion. I added a little too much vegetable oil, and messed up my fuel system. Priming all the air out of the fuel system, and changing the fuel filters was not enough. I had to flush all the vegetable oil out of the fuel system with the diesel purge to get my diesel benz running again. Since you'll be flushing out the fuel system, you'll want to change your fuel filters too. Not changing the filter would be like putting on muddy clothes after taking a shower. First, Start the car, and let it run. Next, you'll want to remove the fuel supply line from the fuel filter leading to the injection pump. Take the d.purge, and put it in a plastic bottle. Put the fuel supply line in the bottle so your car is sucking it up as opposed to fuel from the fuel tank. Then, remove the fuel line from the fuel return supply line. Put the fuel return line in the plastic bottle. Let the fuel collect in the plastic bottle instead of going back to the fuel tank. The fuel from the fuel tank has been bypassed, and the fuel supply line is sucking up the diesel purge. That’s it! It’s quite easy. You've flushed out your fuel system. It’s cheap to do, and well worth it. I will be including some pictures when I have time.
